When you are done messing around with your Galaxy Gear and want
 to return it, you’ll need to unroot it. It might seem a bit odd when 
you return it with an animated live wallpaper and Google Play store 
frankly. To unroot it, aka get it back to stock, you can use a Samsung 
firmware flashing program called Odin which makes the whole process 
pretty painless. Here’s how to unroot the Galaxy Gear and return to 
stock.<br />

I. Before You Begin</h3>
1. <strong>This will only work on a Windows computer</strong> as the flashing program is made for Windows.<br />

II. Download the Needed Files</h3>
1. <strong>Download the <a href="http://developer.samsung.com/android/tools-sdks/Samsung-Andorid-USB-Driver-for-Windows" target="_blank">ABD Drivers</a>
 here, extract them by right-clicking the .zip file and clicking Extract
 All, then double click the exe inside and follow the prompts.</strong><br />

2. <strong>Download <a href="http://sourceforge.net/projects/nullrom/files/gear/Odin_v3.09.zip/download" target="_blank">Odin</a> and save it to your Desktop.</strong><br />

3. <strong>Download the appropriate stock firmware files from <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463743" target="_blank">here</a></strong> (US users just choose the BTU, UK file).<br />

III. Put the Gear into Download Mode</h3>
1.<strong> Hold the power button on the Gear until the Gear says rebooting on the screen.</strong><br />

<strong></strong>2. <strong>As soon as it says rebooting, quickly tap the power button 5 times while the restart dialog is present</strong>to put the device into recovery <a href="http://theunlockr.com/2013/11/20/flash-custom-rom-samsung-galaxy-gear-video/#" id="KonaLink5"><span style="color: #00c800;">mode</span></a>.<br />

3. <strong>Press the power button again</strong> to select Download Mode.<br />

4. <strong>Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds</strong> to select Download Mode.<br />

5. <strong>Plug the Gear in via USB cable.</strong><br />

IV. Unroot the Galaxy Gear</h3>
1. <strong>Double-click the drivers .exe file and follow the prompts to install the drivers</strong> (if you don’t already have them on your computer from rooting).<br />

2. <strong>Extract the Odin file by right-clicking it and selected Extract All.</strong><br />

3. <strong>Double-click the Odin file inside the newly extracted folder</strong> to open Odin.<br />

4. <strong>Right-click on the stock firmware file .zip and select Extract All.</strong><br />

5. <strong>In Odin, click the PDA button and then select the .md5 file inside the folder we extracted from the firmware .zip file.</strong><br />

6. <strong>Click Start</strong> and wait for it to flash.<br />

When it’s all done, the device will reboot and be back to stock.<br />
